Aquastar Swim School’s Learn to Swim classes are set by ability rather than age, which is why we assess every child’s ability to ensure they begin swimming at the correct level within the swim school program. Each learn to swim assessment will only take 5-10 minutes where the instructor will ask your child to perform a few simple tasks in the water. For your child’s FREE no obligation learn to swim assessment simply fill in your details below and we’ll be in touch as soon as possible.
Each term we send out a newsletter for the following term and encourage families to PAY EARLY and SAVE 5% on the next term swimming fees. Our discounts ensure your whole family can learn this lifesaving skill in the most cost effective way possible.

When will my child go up a level and how long does it take?
The students are continuously assessed by their instructors and office staff. Every child is unique, learning different skills at different rates. Some may learn side breathing quickly, but may take a while to learn breaststroke etc. Should you ever have any queries or concerns regarding your child’s progression, please feel free to discuss it with the coordinator on duty.
My child missed a class. Can I have a make-up lesson?
Providing that 24 hours’ prior notice was given, and there is availability in a suitable class, Aquastar offer two make-up lessons per term. Full Terms and Conditions can be found in the office, or on the wall at the shallow end of Lane 1 near the pool clock.
Do you offer concession discounts?
Aquastar does not offer concession prices as such. Alternatively, we offer a 5% Early Payment discount, which runs in the final weeks of each term.
Are your instructors qualified?
Yes they are. All instructors have completed either an AustSwim or Swim Australia qualification. Many have also completed further specialist qualifications, including toddler classes, special needs classes, adult classes, and competitive stroke coaching. All staff also hold current Working with Children checks and current CPR and Resuscitation qualifications. Most staff also hold basic first aid certificates and further qualifications.
How warm is your pool?
Very! We operate the pool at 31 degrees during class times, ensuring that the children are warm but comfortable while in the water. To give an idea of the warmth, a competitive 50m pool operates at 26 degrees – this can feel pretty chilly!
