BeGinner CLASSES
Our Beginner swimming program is all about building confidence and independence in the water from the very start! We begin with playful games and gentle techniques to help young swimmers feel comfortable and safe.
As they grow more confident, they'll develop essential skills like supported floating, independent kicking, and simple arm movements to propel them through the water.
The final stage introduces them to the joys of a recognisable over-arm freestyle and independent back kicks, all while expanding on crucial water safety skills to ensure they are happy, secure, and ready for their next aquatic adventure!

Beginner 1
Class Duration: 30 minutes
Class Size: Maximum of 4 children
Building a foundation of trust and water confidence. Toys, games, and gentle acclimation techniques are used to help young swimmers feel comfortable and learn about their place in an aquatic environment. Basic water safety skills, submersion, breath control, and fundamental swimming techniques such as kicking and supported floating will all be introduced.

Beginner 2

Developing floating and buoyancy skills to gain independence in the water. Students will develop a purposive kicking action and simple arm movements enabling them to move effectively through the water without aid or support. Important water safety techniques for deep water are also introduced at this level.

Beginner 3

The beginnings of a recognisable stroke. A basic over-arm freestyle action is introduced. Students are also learning to kick independently on their back for the first time.
